Seian Maru Dive Specs
Depth: 16-32m
Classification: Advanced Open Water, Experienced Divers
The Seian Maru is a large freighter built in 1938, 351-feet long and 50-feet wide, that was used by the Japanese navy during World War II. She was bombed and sunk by US Aircraft on December 19th 1944.
It now lies on its port side at a depth of 27m. It suffered severe damage to the mid-section when it was sunk, evident from the twisted and torn metal of its hull. It is one of the less frequently visited dive sites due to unreliable visibility and occasional restrictions from the harbor authority.
